It's supposed to snow heavily from noontime tomorrow through Thursday morning, so be prepared for this. Take good photographs of your still life set up from your specific vantage point. Prepare a full palette and bring home your palette, brushes and other materials (You may take home additional tubes of paint, but make sure you bring them back.) back and forth from school to home each day so that you can work on the painting in the evenings and on a potential snow day.
FYI: I checked with the principal about the use of the art rooms after school (I know some of you like to stay late to work independently.), and our custodian is correct in asking you to leave when no teachers are present. The school officially is closed at 3 pm, and rooms should be all be locked when the teachers leave. Up until that time, there are administrators on hand. After 3 pm, students should leave unless supervised by a staff member. There are often a number of sports or other activities for which a coach/advisor is on hand (and our Athletic Director is often around in the afternoons), and students wishing to work in the building can ask one of them if they can work close to their area so they can be under their supervision.
